Script

In addition to the general credits formatting rules, the following rules also apply specifically to the script field:
- It is required for Comic Story sequences and optional on all other types of sequences.
- This field includes writer, plotter, scripter, adapter, translator and any similar functions. Include a note if it is other than a plot and script contribution.
- For Cover sequences:
- When the cover includes scripted material that would otherwise qualify for indexing as a comics story or cartoon if it was not located on the cover, credit the scripter of such sequence if known or designate by a question mark if unknown. Give such credit even when it is determined that the scripter of this material is an editor of the book. For all other cases, leave this field empty and check the "No Script" field.
- Examples:
- The editor is credited for the script: https://www.comics.org/issue/17887/cover/4/
- The script field gets a question mark (until such time as the scripter is determined): https://www.comics.org/issue/212710/cover/4/
- This gets "no script": https://www.comics.org/issue/2447459/
