I had the following e-mail discussion with Bob McLeod (http://www.bobmcleod.com) and he determined he did not work on the Big Boy comics in question. "On Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 9:55 PM, Donald Dale Milne <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote:

Hello, My name is Don Milne, with the Grand Comics Database
(http://www.comics.org/). I'm trying to find information on the
following comic, "Adventures of The Big Boy #387", from 1989. One
of the interior stories has art signed simply "McLeod." I did not
find a reference to it in your online resume, but thought I'd ask
anyway whether this was your work or if perhaps you knew of
another McLeod who might commonly be confused with you. Any
response would be greatly appreciated; we are always trying to
          correctly identify comic creators.
       Thank you - Don Milne

Can you send me a scan of any of the art? The cover?
I don't remember it, but I may have done it. There is a Kagan McLeod (see comicartfans.com <http://comicartfans.com>), so it also could be him.

      Bob -
Thanks very much for the reply. I did find Kagan McLeod also, but it appears he's only been illustrating since 1999; much too young for the comics I was researching. I've attached a scan of the first story page for Big Boy #387, showing the signature in the lower left corner. I've also attached another scan with the same signature, from issue #385. Any help appreciated.
      Thank You - Don Milne

Not my signature. There was another Bob McLeod who worked as an assistant on the Red Ryder comic strip in the 60's. I don't know if he did Big Boy. I didn't.
