About Comics - Any article about comics stories, strips, and panels, their creators, their publishers, or profiles or histories of comics features, characters, or publications.

- Indexing 'About Comics' Issues
- When indexing an issue in a series that has the 'Has about comics' box checked, the following types of stories can be indexed:
- Comic Story
- Photo Story
- Cover Reprint (on interior page)
- Cartoon
- Comics Form Advertising
- Preview
- About Comics
- If the 'about comics' story type is selected, two additional fields can be filled out:
- These fields are intended for articles from academic journals and the abstract and DOI of the article being indexed can be copied into these fields.
- If the issue consists of at least 10% indexable sequences, Cover scans can be uploaded
- If the issue consists of at least 50% About Comics sequences, the following can also be indexed. (Note: At least 50% content has to be indexed and approved prior to adding these)
- Covers
- Illustrations
