The creator birth date is auto-populated in the official name when searching for a creator name to link credits to help distinguish between creators with the same or very similar names.
In addition the creator disambiguation field can be used to further distinguish that creator or to help identify creators with minimal credits (less than 5 credits).
The recommended information that can be added includes:

  • Creators' birth-death dates
  • Creators' country of origin
  • Creators' famous works
  • Creators' most common credits (artist, political cartoonist, etc)
  • Company the creator worked for.
  • Floruit (the creator's known work era, e.g. "fl. 1960s")
