Per a Policy vote on July 23, 2013, variants for the Series 'Marvel Premiere Classic' and the issues associated with it have special rules.

For 'Marvel Premiere Classic', Marvel published two versions of the dust jackets, somewhat analogously to the way they have handled their Masterworks series: one version with a series numbering and one without. The books within the dust jackets are identical with the indicia NOT indicating a numbering scheme. The jackets themselves bear different designs, different ISBNs, and the numbering vs no numbering. By our variant definition, each volume has two variants.

These variants will belong to multiple series. One for each book, using its original series and title, and one 'Marvel Premiere Classic' series which will collect all such issues. Each book of the Marvel Premiere Classic series uses the numbering from the dust jackets and is treated as a variant of the corresponding unnumbered book.
