Pub Template

This is a template page to help contributors get started entering data for comic book publishers.

To use this template:

1) Go to the edit mode after you have logged in. Copy the format between the dashed lines.

2) Find the publisher name in the alphabetical list of publishers (or add it).

3) Enclose the name with 2 brackets the publisher's name. This creates a link. Click on Save Page.

4) This takes you to the article. Click on the name you have just bracketed.

5) Take the template above the dashed line and paste it in to this new page. Fill in the information about the publisher that you know using the correct Wiki formating. If you need help with those, one place you can go is: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Wikitext_examples. Feel free to add Section Headers using equal signs as needed.

6) Finally, you need to put the appropriate publisher number in the second to last item on the page: {{GCDPublisher|##}} . Go to the GCD database (http://www.comics.org) and search for the publisher. The url that appears in your web browser will end with a number. Replace both pound signs (##) with that number.

7) Click on Save Page.

8) Finished!
