GCD FAQs
Welcome the the FAQs section of the GCD. This is currently a work in progress, trying to update the documents referenced on the GCD to better reflect our current use of the database.
- General FAQ - OK... could probably use fleshing out..
- The GCD Charter - needs to be updated by the board
- Email Lists FAQ - needs to be updated for GoogleGroups info
- Searching The GCD - good
- How To Contribute FAQ - good
- Indexing Online
- Indexing Offline
- Formatting Documentation (this isn't a port from the original FAQ but a link to the updated docs here)
- Covers FAQ - good
- Error List FAQ - good
- Series Skeleton Requirements How To Submit A Missing Title (this link is now to a page here)
- Reservations (this link is now to the actual Reservations page by Matthias)
- Donations and Advertising - good
- Data Distribution - needs input from Jamal or someone else
- Glossary - needs major reworking to eliminate duplication with Formatting Documents (is now a link to a page here)
- Useful indexer links (Deleted Other Resources page that was ported over as it contains the same sorts of info)
The information in these FAQs was originally written (at various times) by Bob Klein, Jonathan Ingersoll, Will Allred, Bob Heer, Jon Lovstad and Rob Sharp. It's been modified by the various members of the GCD-Tech list and information has been gathered from emails to various GCD Mailing lists. The current break-out and re-write was developed by Peter Croome with help from Tim Stroup and Jim Vandore.
