In addition to the general credit formatting rules, the following apply specifically to the script field.

  • Required for Comic Story sequences, Optional on all other types of sequences.
  • This field includes writer, plotter, scripter, adapter, translator and any similar function. If included without notes it assumes plot and script contribution.
  • For "Cover" sequences:
    • When the cover includes scripted material that would otherwise qualify for indexing as a comics story or cartoon if it was not located on the cover, the scripter of such sequence shall be credited if known or designated by a question mark if unknown. Such credit shall be given even when it is determined that the scripter of this material is an editor of the book.
    • For all other cases, this field will be left empty and the "No Script" field checked.
